Black pepper remains steady
Black pepper spot prices remains unchanged on matching demand and supply.
According to reports,Pepper imported from Srilanka is priced around Rs 550/KG which is equal to native pepper from Karnataka and Wayanad in market. So Buyers were not ready to buy Srilankan pepper, they said high-range, high-bulk density native material is available here at the same price. Wayanad pepper sold at Rs 540 while Karnataka pepper was available at Rs 530 a kg in Kochi market.
Spot prices remained unchanged at Rs 53,600 (ungarbled) and Rs 55,600 (garbled) per quintal.
Ungarbled – Rs 536 /Kg and Garbled – Rs 556 /Kg.
