No pepper arrivals in Market due to lockdown

Due to nationwide Janata Curfew on Sunday and COVID-19 outbreak Black Pepper trade in Kochi was disrupted on Monday.

The closing down of borders by Tamil Nadu disrupted truck arrivals carrying pepper from the neighbouring State to Kochi.

Spot prices raised by Rs 200 a quintal to Rs 30,000 (ungarbled) and Rs 32,000 (garbled).

Ungarbled – Rs 300 / Kg and Garbled – Rs 320 /Kg. New – 285 /Kg.
