Four thieves arrested with 2,300 kg pepper in Chikkamagaluru

The Chikkamagaluru police recently arrested four people and cracked nine cases of pepper theft reported in different police limits, including one in Sakleshpur in Hassan district. The police also recovered valuables worth Rs. 9.84 lakh.

The arrested are Harish, 28, of Karmakki Colony in Chikkamagaluru taluk, Sudhir, 22, of Kundra village, Avinash of Mugrahalli, and Moganna Gowda of Malahalli in Mudigere taluk. According to a release issued by the district police, four more people of the group are absconding.

The police have recovered 2,300 kg of pepper and a Royal Enfield bike, among other things.
