ಹೋಟೆಲ್‌ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಕಾಫಿ ಬೆಲೆ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ₹12–₹20 ರಾನುವಾಗಿದೆ; ಮುಂದುವರಿದಂತೆ ಕಾಫಿಪುಡಿ ದರ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿದ್ದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದು ₹25 ವರೆಗೆ ಏರಬಹುದು. ಹೋಟೆಲ್‍ ಮಾಲೀಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ಯಾಂಟೀನ್‍ಗಳು ದರ ಏರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಗ್ರಾಹಕರಿಗೆ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾಗಬಹುದು.

Coffee lovers face a big shock: not only the taste but also the wallet will burn. Coffee powder prices have crossed the ₹1000/kg mark and are expected to rise further, possibly to around ₹1200/kg.

The primary reasons cited include crop setbacks in Brazil and Vietnam, and unusually heavy rains in parts of the state that have affected flowering and future yields. Rising labor shortages and higher input costs for growers add further pressure.

Consumers report behavioural changes: fewer cups ordered, sharing among friends, and expectations of more price shocks in the coming months.
