Srilankan pepper import pounds prices further

Continues import of pepper from Srilanka for cheap prices and selling in Indian markets amid imposition of MIP at Rs 500 a KG have pulled down spot prices further on Tuesday in terminal market of Kochi.

Spot prices dropped by Rs 200 a quintal to Rs 41,100 (ungarbled) and Rs 43,100 (garbled).

Ungarbled – Rs 411 / Kg and Garbled – Rs 431 /Kg.
