New pepper arrivals pounds prices

Spot prices of Black pepper on Thursday showed downward trends due to upsurge in arrival of new pepper as well through imports.

Business Line reports “White pepper is also now landing in the markets from overseas origins at lower prices and were being sold at ₹600-650 a kg.”

Spot prices fell by Rs 200 a quintal to Rs 37,700 (ungarbled) and Rs 39,700 (garbled).

Ungarbled – Rs 377 / Kg and Garbled – Rs 397 /Kg.
