Coffee prices settled sharply lower for a second day on Thursday amid signs of larger coffee supplies from Brazil. Excessively short positions by commodity funds in robusta coffee futures could add fuel to any short-covering rally. December arabica coffee closed down -3.65 (-1.25%) on Thursday, at 289.05 US cents/ lb and November ICE robusta coffee) closed down -62 (-1.78%) at US$ 3423 /tonne.
