Coffee prices closed slightly higher on signs of tighter coffee supplies
Coffee prices wednesday closed slightly higher on signs of tighter coffee supplies. ICE-monitored coffee inventories on Tuesday fell to a 22-year low of 1.028 mln bags. Also, on Tuesday, ICE-monitored Robusta coffee inventories fell to a 3-1/4 year low of 8,931 lots.
March arabica coffee on Wednesday closed up +0.40 (+0.16%), and Mar ICE Robusta coffee closed up +9 (+0.39%).
The amount of green coffee stored at ports in the United States fell by 37,851 bags by the end of January to 5.79 million 60kg bags, the fifth consecutive monthly reduction, the Green Coffee Association (GCA) said on Tuesday.
