Black pepper prices crashes heavily

Black pepper spot prices on Thursday reduced heavily on the reports of availbility of import pepper.

According to BusinessLine , Pepper futures on national exchanges declined after a news of release of imported pepper by the authorities in Mumbai.

Spot prices dropped by Rs 300 a quintal to Rs 41,500 (ungarbled) and Rs 43,500 (garbled).

Ungarbled – Rs 415 / Kg and Garbled – Rs 435 /Kg.
