Tight availability pushes black pepper prices up
Black pepper spot prices stayed strong on Thursday here in Kochi due to tight availability of pepper.
As reports from BusinessLine, Sellers have withdrawn demanding higher prices, High range peppers like Pulpally and Bathery were quoting Rs. 525 / kg.
Meanwhile, Imported pepper from Vietnam also have gone up.
Spot prices raised further by Rs 300 a quintal to Rs 49,900 (ungarbled) and Rs 51,900 (garbled).
Ungarbled – Rs 519 /Kg and Garbled – Rs 499 /Kg
