Strong demand push pepper prices up

Black Pepper spot prices on Thursday moved up further on good demand .

BusinessLine reports “Some of the growers were selling immature green pepper at ₹150-160 a kg as it is said to be a lucrative business for them”. 

Spot prices raised by Rs 500 a quintal to Rs 43,400 (ungarbled) and Rs 45,400 (garbled).

Ungarbled – Rs 434/ Kg and Garbled – Rs 454 /Kg
