Pepper prices remains steady amid good demand
The pepper prices remained steady from last few days amid good demand from manufacturers and up country markets.
Buyers are away from market due to higher rates while sellers are not ready to liquidate at discount prices.
The demand from manufacturers of spice powders and mixtures and Bihar and Jharkhand markets are continuing good.
Pepper prices in the coming weeks majorly depends on farmers move to en-cash the produce as well as the demand from major industry player said one Kochi based trader.
The pepper market in Kochi continues to remain steady in the last few days at ₹309 for ungarbled. The off-take was 15 tonnes.
The MG1 garbled variety was quoted at ₹329, while new pepper stood at ₹299.
