Coffee prices climbs on softer dollar
March arabica coffee settled up 1.15 cents, at $1.2365 per lb, with traders citing support from the sharply lower U.S. dollar helping lift prices to a session high at $1.255.
A wave of selling pressure took prices off their highs, traders said.
March robusta coffee rose $10, or 0.6 percent, to $1,785 a tonne.
Dealers noted there was some selling in Vietnam by farmers ahead of the Tet holiday in mid-February, though the pace was curtailed by weak local prices.
