Robusta futures rebounds while Arabica slips

Robusta Coffee futures moved higher on Thursday, with futures recouping from the prior session’s losses while arabica prices stumbled on resistance level which is pressured on news of  increased February coffee exports of Honduran by a 36%.

May robusta rose $10 or 0.47 percent to $2,159 per tonne.

May arabica fell 1.50 cents, or 1.04 percent, to $1.433 per lb.

According to traders  reports, Top producer Vietnam is forecast to export between 140,000 to 160,000 tonnes of robusta in March, said on Thursday ,

while Vietnam’s estimated February exports at 130,000 tonnes earlier this week, up 9.2 percent from a year ago, after a sharp drop the previous month.
