Black pepper spot prices round-up 16/feb/17

As reports , there was a mixed trends in Black pepper market in the beginning of week , spot prices kept falling due to quality woes.

Spot prices fell further by 150-200 rs  a quintal on Monday .

Due to continuous fall in the spot prices on Monday market ,there witnessed a selling resistance by farmers on Tuesday market, Due to this there was a less arrivals of pepper in terminal market ,15 tonnes were traded at 555-600 rs a kg. Spot prices fell further by ₹300 a quintal on Tuesday,

On Wednesday, Pepper growers started releasing their peppers due to new crop supply. Buyers showed resistance in buying owing to high moisture content in new crop Extra availability of new crop pressurised a market and spot prices fell further by ₹600 a quintal on Wednesday.

As reports , 2017 pepper markets will have an extra  availability of around 60,000 tonnes .
