Black pepper spot prices continues downtrend

Friday Black Pepper market continue its downtrend on news of cancellation of suspension order on the import of black pepper from Vietnam.

Farmers started selling their produce early before Vietnam’s cheap pepper entering India which in turn pushed down the pepper prices.

Spot prices dropped further by Rs200 a quintal to close at Rs 58,600 (ungarbled) and Rs 61,600 (garbled) a quintal.

Ungarbled – Rs 586 / Kg and Garbled – Rs 616 /Kg
