Rains damages paddy, maize, red gram crop in Telangana

Thousands of acres of paddy, cotton and maize crop damaged due unseasonal rains with hailstorm in Khammam, Nizamabad, Adilabad, Warangal, Karimnagar, Jagityal, Vikarabad and Siddhipet districts of Telangana. 

Agricultural produce kept in the open fields and at some marketyards was damaged in the heavy downpour.

The mango plants which were in the stage of full blooming with flowers were badly hit in Karimnagar, Rajanna-Sircilla and Jagtial districts. 

The rains which started from last Saturday,continued on Sunday and Monday also,with weathermen forecasting moderate to heavy rains in the next four days.

However the untimely heavy rains have helped Rabi crops at several places.
