Positive sentiment in pepper trade

Black pepper spot prices in Kochi trade stays positive amid no arrivals of stocks in market due to the difference between buyer and seller price.

According to market reports,The buyers are quoting at Rs 322 per kg,while sellers rates are at Rs 325 per kg in Kochi market.

Fear of excess global stocks which was announced at the IPC meeting in Vietnam last week is reducing as carry forward stocks are non realistic also helped pepper prices to stay positive today.

Spot prices gained Rs 200 a quintal to Rs 32,100 (ungarbled) and Rs 34,100 (garbled).

Ungarbled – Rs 321/Kg and Garbled – Rs 341/Kg,New – Rs 306/Kg.
