Pepper prices up on less activities

Spot prices of Black pepper on Thursday raises further on less activities.

There were neither any arrival nor any off take. Business Line reports “10 tonnes of Sri Lankan pepper imported by Kerala-based importers were traded afloat at ₹390 a kg.”

Spot prices gained by Rs 200 a quintal to Rs 40,500 (ungarbled) and Rs 42,500 (garbled).

Ungarbled – Rs 405 / Kg and Garbled – Rs 425 /Kg.
