Imported pepper pounds spot prices
Black pepper spot prices on tuesday were down due to excessive availability of pepper from Vietnam, which is imported via Sri Lanka at 8 per cent duty.
Spot prices dropped by Rs 100 a quintal to Rs 52,200 (ungarbled) and Rs 54,200 (garbled).
Ungarbled – Rs 522 / Kg and Garbled – Rs 542 /Kg.
