Black pepper reduces on cheap imports

Spot prices of Black Pepper reduces on increased import on strong rupee against dollar. 

According Business Line reports 27 tonnes were traded and of these 13 tonnes from southern districts were sold at ₹435 a kg, while 14 tonnes from the High Ranges were traded at ₹455.

Spot prices dropped by Rs 300 a quintal to Rs 44,900 (ungarbled) and Rs 46,900 (garbled)

Ungarbled – Rs 449 / Kg and Garbled – Rs 469 /Kg
