Black pepper prices rise on good demand

Black pepper prices rise on Monday due to good demand from the end users.

Pepper prices of all varieties reported a hike of Rs 3 per kg in Kochi trade.

“There was improvement in total arrivals which stood at 35 tonnes. This is because traders in the terminal markets were active and therefore pepper from primary markets attracted to terminal markets in Kochi.”- reported by Businessline.

Spot prices gained Rs 300 a quintal to Rs 33,000 (ungarbled) and Rs 35,000 (garbled).

Ungarbled – Rs 330/Kg and Garbled – Rs 350/Kg,New – Rs 315/Kg.
