Black Pepper prices reduces due to imports

Spot prices of Black pepper on terminal market continues to fall due to low prices in International pepper markets.
Business Line Reports also claim reasons for steep fall in pepper prices is due to availibity of Cheap Vietnam pepper which is being exported to Nepal are getting in to UP and Bihar markets and also release of 750 tonnes of pepper imported in to Karnataka during June-August being moved out  before the harvesting begins.
Spot prices dropped by Rs 500 a quintal to Rs 44,000 (ungarbled) and Rs 46,000 (garbled)
Ungarbled – Rs 440 / Kg and Garbled – Rs 460 /Kg.
