Black pepper prices gains on good demand
Good demand amid tight availability gave rise to black pepper prices on Monday in Kochi market.
Pepper sellers from the high ranges, were reportedly not ready to sell below ₹500 a kg.
Business Line reports “Sellers of imported pepper were quoting now ₹430-₹440 a kg and Kalpetta (Wayanad) sellers have sold 20 tonnes of imported pepper at ₹430 to Tamil Nadu-based dealers”
Spot prices raised by Rs 700 a quintal to Rs 39,900 (ungarbled) and Rs 41,9600 (garbled).
Ungarbled – Rs 399 / Kg and Garbled – Rs 419 /Kg.
