Arabica coffee tumbled to 2019 lows

May arabica coffee settled down 0.8 cent, or 0.8 percent, at $1.0085 per lb after earlier touching $1, the lowest for the second position since Dec. 18.

More moderate temperatures and rain in Brazil are boosting the production outlook for the world’s top producer, dealers have said.

May robusta coffee settled down $17, or 1.1 percent, at $1,538 per tonne.

Vietnam, the world’s biggest robusta producer, exported 183,693 tonnes of coffee in January, customs data showed on Monday, higher than the government’s estimate of 175,000 tonnes.
